Timing of Life

Life is a beautiful thing. Of course, we all have our ups and downs, but regardless we continue to learn something new constantly, as long as you are open to it. I've come to realize that as time goes on, lots of things come full circle. For instance, I've been feeling pressured to release my music. I told some close friends and family earlier this year about my plans to be an artist (and to my dismay, this was a mistake) but nonetheless it had it's consequences. Many people fall under the belief that the "streamlined" artists that we see, blew up overnight or within a few months. They are not aware of the team needed to put this woman/man that we see before us. Many people, especially in 2018, want to be an artist as big as Drake, The Weeknd, Selena Gomez, etc. however don't even know that it takes several people (plus good music, of course) to actually have an artist flourish. I never realized the reality of this until I decided I wanted to be an artist myself. Now, putting together the right, efficient team of people is a challenge. I've come across so many people that want to help me out, and don't want to accept the money I offer to them for their services. "Don't worry Jazz, I can't charge you"What? It's disrespectful to me, that you won't accept the payment I'm giving to you for your services. When I work with someone, I have to give them what they deserve for their service. Otherwise, what hidden incentive do you have? Time with such people should not be wasted. Nothing in this world is truly free. And if it is, you should question it. I must say, regardless of the pressure I feel to release my first single, I am not in a rush to release it. I am still putting together, minor yet major things together to ensure it is done properly. Everything in life has it's own timing. I learned that the hard way a few times in the past. If you are forcing it, or rushing things to happen, it may not turn out the way you wanted it to. Trust the timing of your life.

Most importantly, be careful what you wish for. Rome was not built overnight, and certainly not by one person.
